RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of telerehabilitation (TELEREBT) of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the context of the coronavirus pandemic 2020-2021. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study included 37 patients with MS who underwent a course of teleRBT. The course included 10 classes of 60 minutes for 10 days with a two-day break. Various questionnaires and scales were used to assess the effectiveness, as well as an assessment of the neurological status. RESULTS: 19 patients refused to participate in the program. The level of disability on the EDSS scale decreased from 4.86±1.19 at the initial level to 4.73±1.12 after the course of teleRBT, while no statistically significant changes were found. CONCLUSION: TeleRPT in patients can be an effective way to correct existing disorders. Further research is required to establish the effectiveness of teleRBT.

RESUMO

The x-ray diffraction, electrical resistivity and thermal expansion measurements have been employed to study how the intercalation of Cr atoms into TiSe2 matrix affects the crystal structure, formation of the charge density wave (CDW) and electrical properties. The intercalation of a small amount of Cr atoms (up to x ~ 0.03) is observed to suppress the CDW formation. The electrical resistivity of Cr x TiSe2 compounds with the Cr concentrations 0.03 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.20 shows a metallic-type behavior; while in the concentration range 0.25 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.5, the resistivity shows an anomalous behavior indicating the reappearance of the transition to a CDW-like state; further growth of the Cr content up to x = 0.6 again leads to the metallic-type resistivity. For the compound Cr0.25TiSe2, the phase transition below 160 K together with abnormal change in the electrical resistivity is found to be accompanied by anomalies in the lattice parameters and thermal expansion behavior; this transition is classified as first-order type. It has been found that despite the intercalation of Cr atoms some Ti-Se bonds in the Se-Ti-Se tri-layers of Cr x TiSe2 with x ⩽ 0.5 have nearly the same lengths as in the host lattice TiSe2, which apparently allows the transition to be returned to the CDW-like state.

RESUMO

Crystal structure investigations, electrical resistivity, and magnetic measurements have been performed for polycrystalline samples of intercalated compounds Cr(x)TiTe(2) with a Cr concentration up to x = 0.65. According to the room-temperature x-ray diffraction study of Cr(x)TiTe(2), the initial hexagonal crystal structure transforms to a monoclinic one with increasing Cr content up to x≥0.5 due to the ordering of Cr ions. The intercalation results in the change of the resistivity behavior in Cr(x)TiTe(2) from metal-like at x = 0 to insulator-like above x = 0.33 and leads to ferromagnetic ordering of Cr magnetic moments at x≥0.5. For the compound Cr(0.25)TiTe(2), structural transformations and anomalous resistivity behavior are observed around 230 K, which cannot be explained only by the order-disorder transition within the subsystem of intercalated Cr ions. Structural changes within Te-Ti-Te sandwiches associated with charge density wave instability are suggested to be involved in this phase transition as well.

RESUMO

The data of the examination and treatment of 1150 sick servicemen in different conditions of service in Republic of Chechnya in the military conflict in 1995-1996 are investigated. It was found out that the principal somatic pathology in the structure of sanitary losses of servicemen in the military conflict was respiratory organ diseases, mainly pneumonia, whose etiology as a rule does not depend on the character of the military-and-professional activities and places of troops' distribution. The chief role in the etiology of pneumonia was played by Streptococcus pneumoniae (43.4%). The peculiarities of the clinical picture of pneumoniaduring fighting are stipulated by chronic adaptation overstrain syndrome. Traditional schemes of treatment for such pneumonia do not ensure recovery of the sick within the usual period and do not prevent the development of various complications.

RESUMO

The authors examined 103 patients suffering of acute pneumonia. A group was distinguished that suffered frequently of this disease. It is shown that repeat pneumonia has its clinical and immunological particular features. Formulas are described allowing to predict repeat morbidity and, thus, permitting to take measures of prophylaxis.

RESUMO

Altogether 103 patients with acute pneumonia and 50 healthy controls were examined. A wide range of clinical and immunological methods was applied. The data obtained were processed using statistical multivariate analyses. Differences of a clinical picture and the immune status were shown in primary patients and in patients with repeated pneumonia. An attempt was made to explain the pathogenesis of repeated pneumonia. The use of immunomodulating agents for therapy and prevention of acute pneumonia was substantiated.
